Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming oath-taking ceremony. Sarma sought blessings from deities Hanuman Ji and Ram Lalla for a successful tenure for PM Modi. He also mentioned that nearly 1 lakh people from Assam would visit Ayodhya this year on government expenditure. Sarma emphasized PM Modi's re-election, highlighting him as the second individual to be honored as Prime Minister for the third time. He concluded with the assertion that the identity of the Prime Minister is what ultimately matters.

In a devastating road accident today, at least 18 people lost their lives and many others were injured after the bus they were travelling in collided with another vehicle in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. Among the deceased were three women and one child, police reported. The double-decker bus, which was en route from Bihar’s Sitamarhi to Delhi, crashed into a milk tanker from behind on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway early this morning. The force of the collision was immense, causing several passengers to be flung out of the bus, police stated.
